My name is Carly June Haase and I was born and raised in Northern California where I learned to love cooking, eating and food in general. Whether to avoid the dismal economy in the states or to put off my entry into the World of Grown Ups, I've followed my heart to Aachen, Germany where I teach English and struggle to master the very fine art of the German language.

I cook to ease the tension of a long day and I eat beautiful food to put a smile on my face. Nothing soothes me like a pot of homemade soup and nowhere beckons me like the kitchen.

This is a blog about my life in Germany and the wonderful food I cook, eat and enjoy along the way.
